Terms and Conditions of Sale
Groundwork Maths
Last updated: August 2026
These terms apply when you buy printed materials from us through groundworkmaths.com. Please read them before you order. By placing an order you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Groundwork Maths is a brand name of Rethink Maths Limited (company number 16482315), registered at Ground Floor Radley House, Richardshaw Road, Leeds, England, LS28 6LE.
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Rethink Maths Limited, and "you" means the person or organisation placing the order. "Materials" means the printed products you buy from us.
2. Who these terms are for
We sell to schools and other settings (business buyers) and to individuals such as tutors and home educators (consumers). If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect, and some sections below explain where those rights apply.
3. Our products
Our products are printed Phase Packs, which are made up of modules. Each module is a set of two booklets: a teacher guide, and a set of photocopiable masters that include the worksheets and any supporting resources needed for the sessions. We also sell printed pupil workbooks, which are pre-printed versions of the worksheets.
Product descriptions and images on the site are for guidance. We may make minor changes to the materials, for example to correct errors or improve content, without affecting your order.
4. Placing an order
You place an order through the site. After you order, we will send you a confirmation email. A contract between us is formed when we send that email. This applies equally to products with a later delivery window: once we confirm your order, it is a binding order.
We may decline or cancel an order, for example if the materials are unavailable, if we cannot take payment, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund you in full.
We deliver to UK addresses only.
5. Price and payment
Prices are shown at checkout and include VAT where applicable. UK delivery is included in the price shown, including where an order is dispatched in stages.
The payment methods available to you are shown at checkout. Where card payment is available, we take payment when you place your order, including for products with a later delivery window. Schools can order by invoice. For invoice orders, no payment is taken online: we confirm your order by email and issue one invoice for the complete order. The checkout tells you when that invoice will be issued: either when we confirm your order, or when the first part of your order is ready to dispatch. Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. We may carry out a check before we dispatch invoice orders.
6. Availability and delivery
Some products show a later delivery window before you order. We dispatch those products when they become available, and where an order includes products with different delivery windows we dispatch it in stages. For products that are available now, we aim to dispatch within 5 working days.
Delivery windows are indicative and delivery times are not guaranteed. If a delivery window changes significantly, or we cannot supply a product within a reasonable time, we will tell you, and you can cancel that product and receive a refund of any amount you have paid for it. If you need to discuss a change to an order, please contact us.
Risk in the materials passes to you when they are delivered. Ownership passes to you once we have received payment in full.
If your order includes a product with a later delivery window, we may give you access to our online support page before those printed materials are dispatched, so you can prepare to use them.
If your order arrives damaged, or does not arrive, please contact us at hello@groundworkmaths.com and we will put it right.
7. Returns and refunds
If any materials are faulty or are damaged in transit, contact us and we will replace them or refund you, including any delivery cost you paid. This does not affect your legal rights.
For business buyers (schools and settings), if you change your mind you may return materials within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unused and unopened. You cover the cost of return postage, and we will refund the price once we receive the materials in resaleable condition.
If you are a consumer, you have a separate legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the materials, for any reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. To cancel, tell us by email at hello@groundworkmaths.com within that period. You must then send the materials back within 14 days of telling us you want to cancel, and we will refund you within 14 days of receiving them back, or of you showing they have been sent. You cover the cost of return postage. You may handle the materials to check them as you would in a shop, but we may reduce your refund if their value has been reduced by handling beyond that.
We will tell you the return address when you contact us. We make refunds to the original payment method.
8. How you may use the materials
We own the copyright in all the materials, and that does not change when you buy them. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the materials for educational, non-commercial purposes, within the purchasing school or setting, or, if you are an individual buyer, for your own teaching or home use.
You may:
- photocopy the photocopiable masters, including the worksheets and supporting resources they contain, for use with pupils at the purchasing school or setting (or your own pupils, if you are an individual buyer).
You must not:
- photocopy or otherwise reproduce the teacher guides or the printed pupil workbooks. Please buy additional copies instead.
- resell the materials, share them commercially, or upload them to resource-sharing sites.
- remove our branding or copyright notices.
If we give you access to an online support page, you may use it for the same school, setting, or individual teaching use as the printed materials. You may share the link with colleagues in the purchasing school or setting, but you must not publish it online, resell access, or share it outside that setting.
9. Our free tools
Our free diagnostic assessment and tools are provided to support professional judgement, and are not a substitute for your own assessment of a pupil's needs. We do our best to keep them accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that they will always be error-free or uninterrupted. If you spot a mistake, please tell us at hello@groundworkmaths.com and we will fix it.
10. Our responsibility for loss or damage
We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and, for consumers, for your legal rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods.
Subject to that, if you are a business buyer, we are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, or any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in connection with an order is limited to the price you paid for that order.
11. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures in delivery caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such an event affects your order, we will let you know and, where appropriate, offer you a refund.
12. General
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are those in force when you place it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
To contact us about an order or these terms, email hello@groundworkmaths.com, or write to us at Rethink Maths Limited, Ground Floor Radley House, Richardshaw Road, Leeds, England, LS28 6LE.
